Uncle Sam's Bakery Cafe

A. Uncle Sam's Bakery Cafe has modified the American hamburger and uses kaiser rolls instead of regular burger buns. Uncle Sam's Signature Scrambled Sandwiches (NT$95) can be upgraded to a set menu for an additional NT$30, which gives you french fries and a soft drink.

B. In order to break the stereotypical American portion size, Uncle Sam's Bakery Cafe offers the Sam Junior Hamburger (NT$35), available in six flavors: Original Sam Junior, Mushroom, Spinach, Blue Cheese, Crab Paste, and Jalapeno. You can add a extra slice of cheese (NT$5) or bacon (NT$10), or opt for ordering two Sam Junior Hamburgers, french fries and a soft drink for only NT$99, proving that gourmet dining can be affordable and down-to-earth.

C. In addition to kaiser roll hamburgers and sandwiches, Sam's fresh daily baked bread is also quite popular. This includes kaiser rolls (NT$30 each, NT$100 for 4), dinner rolls, and rum raisin bread (NT$40). Some dough is imported from overseas and tastes delicious when it comes fresh-baked out of the oven!

In late December last year, Uncle Sam's Bakery Cafe opened at its first location in Dazhi and was very well received. Now, a second location is also open for business, making it more convenient for those who live in downtown Taipei and don't want to drive all the way to the outskirts. The cafe is named after one of the owners, Sam Wang who, as a little boy, loved eating bread and dreamed of opening his own bakery. Now he has not only fulfilled his childhood dream but also demonstrates his artistic talent, designing the company logo--an asymmetrical red heart that adds a fun twist to the brand. --Written and translated by Diva Yang

SAM WANG 2

Sam Wang ( pinyin: Wáng Shào Wĕi) is a Taiwanese actor, singer and a model. Sam is a member of two Taiwanese groups 5566 and 183 Club. At one point, he played on the Taiwan national soccer team.

Sam Wang Shao Wei started playing Soccer when the class 3 primary schools started the Soccer program. His achievements in Soccer are equal to those in the entertainment field. He played 13 years of Soccer. Before his 5566 debut in 2002, every Soccer match in Taiwan both big and small, featured Wang Shao Wei on its players list. On June 26, 2002, Shao Wei became the Soccer coach for one of the community activities Soccer teams. Shao Wei showed some kung fu soccer steps. As an artist, he helped improve the positive reputation of Taiwanese Soccer. His managing company (Jungiery) worked with him to help balance his soccer and entertainment activities.

In 2004, Shao Wei released a book called 明星入門100招 (100 Ways To Become A Star).
In December 2007, Wang Shao Wei promoted 5566's album, Bravo, in Singapore.
In November 18, 2007, fans helped him celebrate his 31st birthday, and unexpectedly gave him a 2 million dollar Lexus Alphard as a birthday present. Wang Shao Wei turned down this gift, but took a picture of it as a remembrance. (It is reported that many Wang Shao Wei fans coming from wealthy family backgrounds. An American fan once flew from the US to Indonesia when Shao Wei participated an activity there, and gave him round trip airplane tickets to Hawaii.)
In March 2008 he changed his name from 王绍偉 to 王少偉 (the reading is still the same).
On 16th December 2008, at 3pm, Shao wei launched his first bakery shop, named Uncle Sam. The breads from his shop are imported from US. Besides selling bread, he also sells merchandise such as t-shirts, soft toys of characters designed by him.
In 2009, he launched his second shop- Uncle Sam's Junior, a branch of Uncle Sam's Bakery Cafe.

Who would have guessed that i was right all along for admiring the guy. He's one of the coolest guys i know and admire! I'm definitely (given the chance...) visiting Taiwan especially Uncle Sam's Bakery.

CHOCOLATE CAKE

Tha last time I went at Mitsuwa's Market I bought this scrumptious chocolate cake which felt was heavenly in every bite. I just had to buy it again the next time i go there which happened last Monday. I was so excited after we ate our lunch because i just had to buy one at the market. The cake itself was a product of Japan and it really looks yummy but then if you look at the second photo closely half of it was gone. My favorite guy Ian, got hungry and he ate half of it when i got back from the bathroom there it was crying out my name. (hahaha!) Poor chocolate cake!!! So before i even start to eat it and i had to take photos of it. For me it sort of reminds me the taste of chocolate mousse of Red Ribbon back home (Philippines). It was that good!!! Can't wait to go back in Mitsuwa and buy it again! hehehe! Enjoy the weekend!

SAM WANG

A few months had passed and I was supposed to watch the drama THE MAGICIANS OF LOVE but as predicted of me when i started it i got lazy and forgot about it. Just last week as I was looking for new movies to watch I came across it again and this time I cheated (yes i do cheat sometimes but not when it comes to love!!!), I started to watch it but I started like in the middle of it and so that's how I saw Sam Wang. I had a crush on him I guess it's because of his bad boy character, Richie and i just knew that his character belongs to the Xiao Bei but then i know that in the end she'll end up with Ya si. I don't know if I would finish it to the end or end it from where he finally let her go. Anyway above is Sam Wang's photo and he is cute!!! Enjoy the rest of the week!

Antique Bakery MV

So i finally finished the movie and i loved it. The four guys are so cool having their own life and socializing with people at tha cake shop. I would recommend it for everyone to watch. Every scenes were hilarious and i do love the character of Joo Ji Hoon plus the three guys it made the movie so much cooler.

>>> Food, Almost perfect Marriage and a Young Passionate Chef whatelse could you ask for in a movie. It's a 3 in 1 movie which I think most of you would enjoy. I never thought i would see Joo Ji Hoon in a more mature character than being the Prince at Princess Hours. I liked his character though being young and brave to show his feelings for her. Especially the part he sings her a love song at the parking lot but then again it's a complicated situation. I think everyone did a great job with their characters esp Morae's bestfriend. I love how Morae's character grew from being an innocent woman to a more mature one. Enjoy the week ahead!!!!
